The Alpha Princess

Chapter 2

"There hasn't been a female alpha in many generations. I hope she will not have to face discrimination because of it" Serenity hummed slightly, concerned her beautiful daughter may face ridicule for simply being born a girl. "Ivy will face challenges. It comes with being the alpha unfortunately" Alaric placed his hand on top of hers. "Today is still her birthday, let's try to not think about this anymore today" he make her gaze and looked deep in her eyes. Serenity's eyes shone a vibrate yellow that reminded him of the sunflowers on a sunny field. Serenity smiled under his lust gaze, she was about to respond when Ivy's terrified screams rippled in the air.

Alaric was quick to react, his wolf Kiba was forcing a take over and shifting within a blink of an eye. Kiba soared off the porch, reaching ivy almost instantly. As the alpha, Kiba was a deep shade of black that shined blue in the light. Serenitys wolf Rose followed Kiba, grabbing ivy by the scruff of her shirt. Pack warriors began scattering out from around the from their posts, all arriving in wolf form in order to protect their homes. The packs' mindlink was flooded with the urgent message. "EVERYONE THAT IS UNABLE TO FIGHT GET INTO THE BUNKERS NOW. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL. ROGUES" was being shouted out mentally.

Chaos erupted as the wolves from the pack slammed into the rogues, the sounds of growls, snarls, bodies hitting against bodies and claws ripping through flesh filled the air as the scent of iron sweeped into the air. In the bonkers though, everyone was tucked away safely. The bunkers where hidden and buried deep underground in a few areas around the pack house. Rose gave serenity back control of the body, allowing serenity to shift back into her human body. Serenity cradled Ivy tightly against her torso as she hummed a song to try and calm her down.

Serenity paced back and forth for what felt like hours, but in reality, the entire situation only took about 20 minutes from start to finish before Alaric, Thomas, and Derek came down to the bunker to inform everyone it was safe to come out. Serenity locked eyes with Alaric, the fury evident burned deeply. Rose growled softly from inside of Serenity. "Who dare attacks us" Rose as she forced herself into the front seat of the body, clutching the still asleep Ivy. Alaric sighed softly "we captured a few alive and they are being held in the dungeon for integration. We will figure this out my sweet Rose. Give Serenity back control please" he said as he kissed her gently on the nose. Rose huffed in annoyance but did as she was asked, with Serenity back in control of their body, she looked at Alaric with fire in her eyes. "Samantha" she called out to the Omega that is acting as a nanny for Ivy. "Take Ivy to her room and stay with her until I return" Serenity grumbled softly as Samantha came and carefully grabbed ivy with a nod. Swiftly exiting the bunker to take Ivy to her room.

Thomas and Derek looked at Alaric. "Should we be concerned for the hostage rogues?" Thomas said, stiflingly a laugh. "Probably. We should get to the cellar before Serenity and Rose slaughters them before we get useful information." They watched Serenity's retreating form stalked into the shadowy underground hall that contented the pack house bunker to the cellar the dungeons are tucked away in. The three men exchanged nervous glances as they quickly took off after her.

The two warriors guarding the dungeon door froze where they stood, fear flashing across their faces as they instinctively bared their necks in submission as Serenity approached, a single word was snarled out "Rogues". Her eyes flashing a menacing glare that caused the two men fumbling for the keys, buying her mate Alaric time and the others to catch up. "Rose!" Alaric called out as he grabbed her arm and spun her around, picking her up, and pressing her nose into the crook of his neck. Serenity struggled against him for a few moments before inhaling deeply, her body relaxing slightly as the electrifying tingling from their mate bond erupted throughout her body. "I am calm" she muttered in defeat. "They will be delt with my feisty snapping turtle" Alaric murmured as he gently pinched her chin and tugged her head up to look into her eyes. Rose huffed with disappointment before giving Serenity control of the body. With a mildly annoyed glare Serenity turned back towards the guards that have seems to finally found the key but remained dumbfounded at the scene that just unfolded in front of them. "Well? What are you waiting for? Open the damn door!" Letting the words vibrate with a low growl. "You heard the lady" Thomas spoke with a chuckle. "If you think her bark is scary, I don't think you want to actually feel her bite" "Y-yes of course" Jacob gulped and hurriedly opened the door. Serenity smiled "Thank you." "Doors four and five to the left." Henry quickly said as Serenity started to make a beeline towards the doors, Alaric grabbed her arm again."I will walk in front. Calm yourself my love" he spoke as he began walking. She grumbled incoherently and followed. Thomas and Derek attempted to keep their laughter but failed miserably. Their laughter echoed loudly in the dungeon.
