Isobel and Emma were in the office before breakfast preparing for the hearing when Isobel’s phone rang.
“Miss Isobel, there is a young lady at the gate saying she has an appointment with you today?” The guard didn’t sound convinced that the young lady was telling the truth.
“Yes, Willow?” Isobel confirmed.
“Yes ma’am.” He sounded as if he was frowning and Isobel made a mental note to tell them when family was going to visit. She had been so busy preparing for the hearing she clearly forgot to inform security.
“You can let her in. She is my sister.” Isobel smiled as she put the phone down, nodding at Emma. “She is here. Will you please bring her upstairs?”
