“Well, that was not how I wanted our morning to go, but yes, now you have met my parents. You did say yes.” There was a minute of silence, then he stood up, taking both her hands, pulling them up over his shoulders. He put his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.
Her gray sparkling eyes pinned him down, looking into his brown eyes with anticipation. Her mouth opened slightly.
“Mate.” She whispered.
“Mate.” He smiled for a moment before lowering his head slowly until his lips met hers. Kissing her he took his time.
