Dick walks very briskly along the pavement about forty metres from the building he just frequently investigated. Apparently, he didn't fill Tommy on all of the details, he knew who overpowered the third victim, about five hours before the incident, he was with the Hudson family, their driver had red hair and so far the only red haired individual known by the Hudson family according to his source was the driver, he had caught a red strand of hair in the crime scene without Tommy his pal watching, now all that was left was to contact his source which was just one the woman who gave him the case.
"Hello, Mrs Hudson" Dick calls as he puts his phone to his ear,
"Dick, you incompetent son of a bitch" was shouted by a feminine voice at the end of the call.
Dick ignores what she said and continued if my intuition is right "you are gonna be attacked tonight, the driver, what's his name, Joan, have you seen him with any new friends lately"
"Hell, if I care" Mrs Hudson screams at the other end of the call "My sister is dead and now, my only kids and you talk there like it's all right, you bastard..."
Dick cut the call, he couldn't stand any more of the nagging "guess I will have to check it out my self, " he thought to himself.
Dick had once encountered Joan at one of the top notch bars in town, he looked at his wristwatch, it was 4:57pm, time had really passed "I hope I meet him at the bar tonight," Dick thought aloud.
"Entrance fee" said a big burly man at the entrance of star sapphires club.
Dick scans through both of them with his eyes and says "look here, you muscled overweights, I am here to interrogate a suspect and if you don't lemme through, more people will die."
Then the other man who was standing alongside the big burly man, he was also muscular but shorter, maybe five feet 10 said "Ooh yh, we got a special price for people like you."
Dick's face lightens up and says "What's that"
"Five dollars" he said without flinching his face.
"Isn't that already the normal price..." Dick was interrupted as the big burly man spoke look here "I have had a long day and don't make my night any worse."
"Fine" Dick said as he left the area, Dick had found some dirt on the shorter guy, he also noticed his clothing was squeezed in some parts and ironed in others.
"This could only mean one thing" Dick thinks "the shorter man had tried to sneak either into or outside the club, the only challenge now was figuring where that place was"
Dick kept moving round till he found something like an outer ventilation shaft.
"Lady luck keeps favoring me Dick smiles to himself as he set the shaft cover down.
He then bents his back and continues to push inside, when he crawled for a while he found another opening,he quickly came over to inspect and saw he was directly above the female restroom.
Dick sees a female, by the way she was constantly moving, she was drunk, Dick then opened the shaft and climbed down, he must have missed a footing or so cause he fell down, THUD!!!!.
Dick picks himself up, then he heard the sounds of females approaching, quickly, he moved to the drunk lady and began to smooch her hungrily, either the lady thought this was her prince charming or she was horny, she kissed back even more intense than necessary.
Two skinny ladies came in,they both let out giggles as they left almost immediately. Dick pushed the woman aside, dusted his clothes and went towards the door.
"Wait" the woman called but Dick paid her no attention, he got into the club, he looked around, people were partying, then his eyes caught something and as fate would have it, he saw Joan dancing with a lady, then he saw Joan whisper something to her ear, she smiled and they both left the area, Dick followed almost at their same pace.
The couple left the club, they apparently got into a blue beetle model vehicle, one of the best cars of that time, Dick tried to shield himself from the bouncers as he left, he hoped he wouldn't be recognised from earlier, He then stops a taxi, a taxi stopped and a man wound down the glass and said where to, just follow that vehicle Dick said as he entered into the vehicle.
The taxi followed the beetle for a while until the beetle stopped at a big house, it looked unkept and really spooky, Dick got down and paid the taxi man, the taxi man bid him farewell and drove off, Dick checked his inner breast pocket, pulled out a pistol and entered the building, he checked the door, it was opened, he moved in stealthy until he heard screams from a feminine voice.
Quickly, Dick rushed into a room where the screams seemed to be coming from, he then sees Joan with fangs hanging from his teeth and a red glint in his eyes and the lady was at his side on a bed with visible horror all over her face, she still looked unharmed as no sign of injury was shown.
"Did you do a make-over" you look uglier than ugly Betty joked Dick as he fired at Joan.
Joan dodges the bullets like they were nothing, to Dick's dismay, Joan was right in front of him, it was as if Joan teleported."What the ... "Joan didn't let him finish that sentence as he punched him across to the other room. Dick then held his tummy, he coughed out blood and thought to himself he had heard tales of creatures like this while he was younger, he had forgotten about them as he thought they were all fiction. Then an idea got into his head.
"He smiles and says Joan "whatsuppin, ain't you a whimpy faggot."
This seemed to enrage Joan as he dashed after Dick, Dick ducked at the last second, rolled on the ground, grabbed his weapon and fired it at Joan's head, it didn't do significant damage but it got Joan more pissed, he then picked up Dick by his sleeves, he says "I never liked you, you shithead."
"That makes two of us" Dick says straining a smile. Joan then threw Dick towards the door, Dick landed outside the building, the door was broken as he had smashed into it. Joan closed the gap which was about six metres in mere seconds.
"Any last words" he says looking hungrily at Dick.
"Yeah, see a heart doctor" said Dick as he took a wooden piece of the door and plunged it into the left side of Joan's chest.
"Aaaaarhh" Joan screams bleeding, this was the first time Dick saw him in pains throughout their battle.
Dick felt a sense of accomplishment and says "I heard about a wooden stake to the heart of a certain creature of the night, I guess this had to do, I was baiting you right from when I saw you in the room"
Dick then stops, dusts his clothing and says "What do you want with the Hudson's and where are your other friends."
Joan smiles, with the red glint in his eyes and his fangs showing off, he looked really scary, Dick must be good at acting cause he didn't show fear at least not facially.
"You are an interesting one" Joan started "I should have eliminated you, anyways, I am sure Maxie and Renee will take care of you."
"So those are their names uh, you guys look scary and all but your names sounds like a toddler gave them to you" Dick ends smiling.
Dick then remembers about the girl in the room, he quickly rushed in, he then saw her, she was still in the same position he had left her, she was hot, he didn't pay attention to her when he first saw her cause he was bothered with thoughts, she had long blonde hair, brown eyes, a perfect face and a small nose and round lips to compliment, he moved closer to inspect, she also had nice curves.
"You done sight seeing" she says with a serious tone, she looked like she was trying to toughen her facial expression
"Uh uh" started Dick, he usually always had something to say but this was an awkward time, "you know that guy" he finally says.
"No but call me Suzy" she says as she left the bed, she wasn't longer looking terrified as earlier.
"Probably a man admiring her in her undies had gotten her enraged" Dick thought
Suzy continued "I used to think vampires were myths but who was almost killed today" she says putting on her dress, it was a short red sleeveless dress.
"So that's what they are called" Dick says smiling, she then turned at Dick and said and you are?, "Dick, call me Dick" Dick said looking uneasy.
"You fight these things on a regular" Suzy asks putting on her shoes. Uhh as Dick was about to finish his sentence, he then heard sounds like a wolf howling, "We gotta go" Dick said, "His friends must have arrived."
Suzy smiles "vampires and were wolves don't work together"
"Were what" Dick asks as he grabs Suzy's hand and started off towards the exit.
"Are you kidding me right now or you have no idea what those are?" Suzy asks looking puzzled
"Well, I don't" Dick says as he got outside.
He then looked at the roof, he saw two wolves, they were both really big at least 134 kg and eight feet in height, also they were able to stand on their feet.
"So wolves finally took walking lessons uhn" Dick chuckles aloud, even Suzy smiled at his joke, the wolves then stopped their howling and looked at Suzy and Dick, then at Joan's dead body which was a few metres away, then the two wolves both howled in unison like they wanted to attack.
Dick grabs Suzy, put her in the vehicle "Do you have the key" she asks, Dick enters the vehicle, started the engine and shouts "Way ahead of you, dollface."
Dick started the engine and drove as fast as he could, the two wolves followed throwing everything in their path away like a bunch of toys, Dick looked at the mirror, apparently, the wolves would catch up if he didn't go faster, he poured on his speed and drifted into a small alley way just out of reach as one of the wolves had nearly pounced on the vehicle, the wolf then bashed the road, this caused the other wolf to crash into it, this put the two wolves off their speed as they both hit a building fiercely almost in unison.
Then Dick brings his head out of the window, took a material from his pocket, and threw it towards the wolves and said "here, have a smoke" as he brought his head back in and sped out of the area with a large explosion following, BOOM!!!!. if Dick had delayed, he would have been caught in the explosion too.
"What just happened" asks Suzy looking shocked.
"Well, I had some goodies from earlier". Back at a crime scene, Dick had found some of the substance which caused the explosion at the entrance of the building, he scooped some in hopes of narrowing it down.
"It's a flammable substance and while I was driving, I saw a used cigarette in the corner so I threw it at the cigarette and voila" Dick says with a confident grin on his face.
"You are good at this" Suzy says smiling.
Dick then grins his teeth and says "My Dick game is better, love."
Suzy let out a hearty laugh and says "ooh really."
