I smile as the melody of the song I’d chosen sounds out into the room. I hold my hands around the microphone stand as I look out across the small crowd to Arius who is perched on a bar stool sexily, watching me with amusement. I give him a wink before I start to sing,
“In your eyes, there's a heavy blue
One to love and one to lose,"
I smirk as I rip off the microphone and walk to the front of the stage as the beat kicks in. This was my happy place and I was about to give these people a good show.
