“Are your parents back yet?” I asked Naida as I watched her closely. Her parents had left to confront mine and I was rather curious as to what was happening.
“Nope,” she said as she fiddled with the remote. Naida stared at the tv with a blank look on her face and I couldn’t blame her. Although she knew I was under some kind of spell, she was still wary of me, and I wasn’t sure what I could do to fix it. For the last two nights, I had nightmares about what happened out there on the reef. Abby was at home with her parents and Dylan was upstairs. I had no idea what I could possibly say or do but I couldn’t sit around here and do nothing.
