Eloise When I open my eyes the door clicks shut and is locked, effectively detaining me in the basement. The man had been a voyeur, watching me in my impotent state, leaving when I was about to become lucid of him. I am drenched in sweat, perspiring from the heat of the fire which he has kept burning. The air has that hot, bubbling, radiating effect around the fireplace. Without the fire the room would be cold but the heat makes me feel nauseous. I wonder what time it is. There are no clocks down here. The windows to look outside are too high, almost touching the ceiling, and from the looks of them are too narrow to crawl through vertically even though I have more than enough space horizontally. I might be able to make it work if I can position myself the right way, but it's hard to tel
