Dominic informs me that we are going away for a few days which can't help but make me feel giddy. It will be nice to take a break from home (to get away from the scene of the crime), to go to another corner of the province where I will feel like I'm in a different country. Throughout the day we pack and Dominic makes a series of phone calls, scheduling a general meeting for Saturday morning with the Famiglia. We will be returning Friday evening. A whole five days on vacation—well almost four by the time we get there, but a welcome sojourn nonetheless.
We have to wait for the doctor Dominic called to get off of work—outside of working for the mafia and the mob as an underground doctor, he has a completely legal 9-5 job at a family clinic as a general practitioner. It dumbfounds me
