Eloise I shiver as the frostiness of the forest floor seeps through my clothes. The tears won't stop running down the side of my face, tickling me, providing me fleeting streams of warmth. The men stare at me for the longest time and I worry that they are going to just leave me there and drive away on their snowmobiles. I'm sure I could find a way to get back eventually, but the question is if hypothermia will set in before then. I am cold and only getting colder. Finally, the man who pursued me steps forward, standing over me, one leg on each side of me. He grabs the rope that binds my wrists and lifts me with ease so that I am standing upright.
