Being brought up as a prince of this kingdom, which prefers men to lead, and having been fighting against finding the true king and queen, and sitting here watching Betty discuss issues with the advisors of the city, I can see why men may be worried if a woman took over. She would show men how incompetent they are, not that that is what she was planning to do, and that is not what is happening here in this city. They are eager to hear her speak and give them leadership, whereas a man's ruling kingdom would feel threatened by a woman running things. They do not like to give up control, or to sit back letting their mate run things.
