How can that be?
Did breaking the shield also break the reason we had not been able to communicate with our home?
But I do not understand. They are still in the future. Something is a miss, there is no way. We could be in communication with the past.
'Who told you this?' Betty asked, bringing me back to the questioning.
'The mayor.' One of the men sobbed, they had beaten them up, and I doubt any of them had been treated this way before.
'Who told the mayor?' Betty asked, still not satisfied with the news any more than I was.
'He did not say how he knew, just to go and find us and bring you back.' I thought something was wrong with this statement. It was as if the men had been mind-controlled to report this and nothing more.
