The meal was delicious, Betty's mum knew how to cook and make it to go around, and having four extra mouths to feed that arrived unexpectedly, is a testament to her skills and ability to find solutions to surprises, and surprise they were. The younger brothers quizzed the twins all through the meal, barely taking a breath between each question. It seemed the family was used to this, and they took it all in their stride.
Betty helped clear the table, and I headed into the main room and sat next to Betty's Dad. He softly asked me questions, some about the twins and how they were progressing, and part about what was going on, and why the sudden visit.
