Talking with Mica eased a lot of what had been plaguing my mind. At least I have an inkling of what my parents are, and how fortunate I am to have found my mate. If I had not, then maybe another ten thousand years would pass before another queen was found.
It also helped explain why I did not grow up with my family. My brothers would not let me live with them. Why this happens I have no clue. It could be to strengthen who I am or to teach me the human side of life, so I could be compassionate for them, as more male shifters see women as breeders and little else. Having my rule over them is going to be interesting. Will they succumb to my way of ruling the kingdom? Or will I have to watch my back?
