The store is still busy; a big surprise since it's almost ten pm. I'm already outside the car by the time Jesse gets out. I walk very close to him as we head to the entrance. My eyes are scanning the entire parking lot and I'm grateful that there are no paparazzi today. The attendant's eyes light up with recognition when she sees me and I fight the urge to roll my eyes. This is getting quite old, people looking at me with those judgey eyes. If Jesse notices anything he let's it slide.
