Jack and I sit in front of Mr. Lloyd's desk while he goes on and on about some legal gibberish that I don't understand. I wish he'd just hurry up and cut to the chase. I could care less what my parents left for me, I'm just ready to get out of here and away from Jack.
Not to mention, I'm curious to know what Kathryn wants with me. She has to know Ryder would never let me meet her alone, but maybe she wants Ryder there? Maybe this is all just some kind of trap to lure him to her. On the other hand, she could have answers that I desperately need.
