I was trying to catch my breath and think about what the hell just happened. One minute I am listening to what Carletta is trying to do to Emma, then the next minute I shifted and Aphrodite was pinning me to the ground with her jaws wrapped around my throat.
I hear bone breaking and look up to see Emma shifting back as well. “I am so sorry Emma. I don’t know what-” I was cut off with my sister throwing her arms around my neck. “Shhh. It is okay. Though I am pissed that you and Callum endagered your lives with this forced shift, I am just glad that you are still here.” She said.
I had no words. I just wrapped my arms around my sister’s back and hugged her close. I guess everything just hit me all at once. Alice helping me be more comfortable about being myself and liking men,
