Early morning the following day…
Driving through most of the night, we stopped at a hotel close to the Mystic Shadow pack to sleep and freshen up. As we pull up to the castle, I see Layla standing next to the royal beta, Declan Woods, hand in hand.
Luna Talia jumps out and runs over, hugging Layla. “Oh, it is so good to see you again.” Luna Talia said as she squeezed Layla tight. Layla laughed as she returned the hug. “Careful Talia, I don’t need your mate or mine getting jealous.” Layla laughed.
Alpha Austin went over and pulled his luna to his chest while Beta Declan wrapped his arm possessively around Layla’s waist. ‘So Layla is mated to the royal beta.’ I thought to myself. I wonder if that means that she is staying here when King Marcus takes Emma back to the vampire kingdom.
