(Esmeray POV)
Alec was looking pleased as he smiled a very gentle one, pulling me towards him.
"My son, what a surprise to see you here. Welcome," The queen was quick to her work, putting on her famous smile, and extending her hand.
Alec made no move, raising one eyebrow and looking at her.
The awkwardness rose as the queen looked at him, her face turning darker and darker with each second. She quietly withdrew her hands, mumbling something.
The guests remained silent but I could see the low smile rising from the corners of their mouths. A perfect rumor for them to spread.
Seeing the intensity of redness on her face, I am pretty sure there is nothing more needed to be embarrassed.
"Shall we go?" Alec quickly turned to me, bored by what was happening around him.
"O-oh um su-re"
