“Ares!” I bellowed in warning as Raiden’s body darted at the speed of light up to the fae professor and held him in the air, his long legs dangling as he clawed at Raiden’s hand around his throat. The whole room held their breath as the seconds ticked by. My command seemed to get through to Ares as he controlled his bloodthirst and threw Vale’s body towards a porcelain pillar at the side of the room with a mighty thud. The man slid down to the floor and choked for air as Ares glared at him with animosity.
“That is the second time I have spared your pathetic life when I could have so easily ended you. Allude that my mate could ever be yours again and I promise you, you will not be so lucky,” Ares hissed, his eyes blazing a deep shade of scarlet.
