Noah slowly woke up as the warm sunlight streamed through the curtains, landing right on his face. He groaned softly and rubbed his sleepy eyes, still feeling a little heavy from sleep. With a long yawn, he stretched his arms above his head.
When his gaze drifted toward the clock on the bedside table, his eyes suddenly widened. It was much later than he usually woke up.
“Crap…” he muttered under his breath.
He pushed the blanket off, revealing his bare skin, and swung his legs over the side of the bed. The cool air in the room made him shiver for a moment. Not bothering to get dressed, he padded toward the bathroom, his footsteps soft against the floor.
“Nox…” Noah muttered under his breath, feeling sore all over. His body still carried the faint ache from the night before.
