Chloe stood frozen to the floor as she watched Ethan take a bite on his back end. The sound of a loud whimper from his wolf echoed around the school grounds.
‘Get up, get up Ethan!’ Chloe screamed inside her mind.
Nicki was sobbing softly behind her, something inside Chloe began to rage, it was her own stupid idea to try and get to the pack, she had caused this, and she could not just stand there and do nothing and watch one of her friends get mauled in front of her.
As the driver’s wolf circled a limping Ethan, Chloe felt the uncontrollable need to reach out and touch Ethan’s wolf. Unsure if it would help or hinder, Chloe went with her gut, begging it wouldn’t fail her.
