Zander slumped forwards as he received the communication mind link about Hamish and Douglas.
“What is it?” Chloe asked, feeling her mate’s distress through the bond.
“Chloe, sit down.” Zander whispered softly, as he tried to contain the emotion in his voice.
“Zander, what is going on?” Chloe all but shouted at him. She was in no mood to sit, or be molly coddled, she just needed to know.
“Hamish and Douglas, they are fallen.” Zander told her, then gathered Chloe into his arms, holding her to his chest.
