Louise POV
I don't like her. Miranda looks innocent, but I know that she has a dark heart. Come on, what do you take me for? A retard? Judging from the way she talks to me and she also keeps giving me arrogant gazes.
What's taking Thea so long? She should tell me the whole story! I might not be able to last the entire day and do something to Miranda. I'll probably skin her alive.
I bite my lips, following after Axel and Miranda. I want to stand in between them, maybe put distance so that they can't be too close. They even stayed the night together.
I don't have to wonder what they're doing. I need to do something! I hate this girl so much! When Axel opens the door, Miranda gets in, and I move closer.
"Sit beside me, Axel," Miranda calls her. It's a limousine, why does Axel have to sit with her?
"Ladies first," I push Axel aside and sit beside Princess Miranda. I roll my eyes inwardly.
"Space is wide," Axel tells the both of us. "Maybe you should sit together and talk about things that you like and bond as friends. ."
Is he dense? I want to bash Axel's head! Why does he think that Miranda and I have something in common? Is he crazy?
I try to speak out, but Miranda beats me to it.
"I would love to shop with, Louise. It will be nice," Miranda says this in an overly-sweet tone, but I see her clenching her hand tightly. My lips pursed.
I really don't like this woman, and I plan to show Axel her true colors! It doesn't mean that I want to break them up, but I have a feeling that Miranda has some shady things going on, and I always listen to my instincts.
"I don't think we have something in common," I directly say to her. "Anyway, Axel can accompany me to buy clothes. He knows what I like."
Axel frowns at me and sighs. "I'll be accompanying you both, but if you wish to go off on your own, you can go. I'll be accompanying Miranda to buy a car, and I promised her already."
"You can come with us," Miranda says to me while smiling, but she has a smug look in her eyes. Anger rises within me, and I have a strong urge to strangle her. If only it's not something wrong.
This woman is skilled when it comes to acting, and she got Axel fooled!
"You're very good, Miranda," I smile at her. Does she think that she's the only one that can act? I can do the same thing too. My competitive spirit rises. "If I come with you guys, you'll go with me too, right? I want to buy food too."
"Oh? Sure, we can go to the supermarket," Miranda says to me.
"Let's go somewhere else because I like it really fresh," I say to her and turn to Axel. "Is it okay if we make a detour? It won't be that far, and it's easy to go there. A lot of people shop there because everything is fresh and I know you like fresh too."
Axel checks the time. "We still have an hour before the mall opens. Is this okay with you, babe?"
"I'm sure Miranda will say yes because she's so nice," I answer before Miranda can say anything contradictory.
A tinge of annoyance flits across her face but disappears in an instant. Miranda smiles at me.
"Sure thing, Louise. I like fresh produce too, you see, I even want to see how it's made and prepared," Miranda replies to me. "We can take a detour."
"That's great!" I grab her hands and shake it profusely. I imagine that her hands will fall off. I let go before she can say anything.
Axel laughs. "That's great, give me the address."
"Sure."
***********************
"Fresh fish! Buy one kilo, free half kilo!" When we enter the market, everyone's busy already.
"Fresh eggs!"
"Fresh from the farm! Cow milk!"
"Fresh vegetables!"
I look around, and I feel good. I'm familiar with this place. Let's say that I like to buy my own food here. I'm sure it's organic too.
"What's- what's this place?" Miranda asks, and she sounds shocked. I look at her but didn't answer her. I drag Axel closer to me. Axel looks like he's at home too.
He might be a billionaire and has grown up in a wealthy household, but he's someone who doesn't really care about social status. Axel likes to go to markets with the maids.
"How much is this?" Axel grabs me to a stall, and I follow him. "Is this organic?"
"Yes, sir. It's organic," the seller replies. "It's fresh from the farm and has never touched any forms of chemicals."
I listen to them, but my mind is on Miranda. She always tries to get close to us, but people come rushing to impede her.
"Axel!" Miranda calls his name, but Axel can't hear because of the loud screaming of the people. I laugh inwardly, damn, this is so nice to watch!
Miranda can't keep up because she's wearing heels and its' difficult to move in her skin-tight dress. I swear, she's all bones. Miranda notices me watching her, she glares at me, and her eyes look crazy.
What the hell is wrong with her?
"What do you want to buy? Anyway, where's Miranda?" Axel asks about her, and I point at the lady in question. Miranda notices Axel looking her way, the crazed look disappears, and she smiles.
Then, she walks towards us, but she stumbles, almost falling face-first on the ground. Axel runs to her and catches her before she falls. I watch it like I'm some spectator and not part of it; my heart feels detach.
But I notice one thing, Miranda did it on purpose. She decided to hurt herself in order to get Axel's attention. It opened my eyes as to how dangerous this woman is. Her left foot looks swollen and red.
It's clear that she's hurting, but she still did it. As I look at her, I can feel a trace of trepidation running through my body.
Miranda is the type of woman that will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. I have a feeling that she won't care about who she steps on.
She's going to own Axel, and it will be too late for Axel after that. I need to do something!
