A ray of light from someone’s weapon almost shot Bituin right in the head. She barely missed it. Her heart pumped hard as sudden fear of getting killed without seeing her parents again took a hold of her. She breathed fast. A holographic number appeared before her eyes, saying, “Oxygen supply 99%.” She cussed in her head and tried to calculate how much time she had. She was not really good at mathematics or science, though she excelled in other subjects. “We’ve been here for at least ten minutes when a percent of oxygen supply dropped. That means—” An oath followed it as she felt another attack. “Where is he?” She squinted her alert eyes, trying to locate her enemy beyond the fire and haze. “He’s fast!” she continued to speak to herself aloud. “Shanice! Rhett!” But there was no answer.
