Hali’s POV
Sucking in a fortifying breath, I straighten my shoulders, putting on a confident air, preparing myself for the conversation that's about to take place, one I really don't want to have, but I have no choice about. Reaching out my hand toward the dented metal door in front of me, I hesitate for a moment before I grit my teeth determinedly, and knock on Eddie’s door again. I immediately take a step back from the entrance, to provide me with some space as I wait for the man inside to answer. I nibble my bottom lip nervously, as the sound of the TV lowers abruptly, before heavy footsteps thud toward me seconds before the door swings open and my intimidating landlord looms over me.
