My phone buzzed twice on the desk. I picked it up. Astrid had texted.
"The forecast says it's going to pour tomorrow. Stay safe!"
I sent back a cat emoji.
The next afternoon.
Peggy, my coworker sitting next to me, double-checked the last batch of data and stretched. "Finally done! Aria, we're all going out to eat downtown to celebrate. You in? We'll probably walk around after."
"Nah, I think I'll head over to Sector F instead," I said, packing my tablet into my backpack.
"Sector F? The area they want to turn into that hot spring villa zone?" Peggy looked confused. "I thought some villagers there still refuse to move, so they never even started the blueprints. What are you going there for?"
