I wasn't sure why my father had asked for Freya, but I hoped it wasn't related to Lucas.
I was happy that we were finally having some alone time, even though I knew I should not be happy over something like this.
"Do you know why he called for her?" Lucas asks me. I can see the genuine concern in his eyes for my sister. It hurts to see him care that much for her, even though a part of me is happy that she has gotten the best possible husband this world can offer her.
"No." I shook my head. "I am hoping it isn't anything serious. Maybe it has something to do with those dates he wants me to go on. I'm not sure."
I don't know why I mentioned those dates. Maybe a part of me hoped to see Lucas jealous over me. I knew it was petty and very unlike me, but it was becoming difficult
