My body shook as I dropped onto the ground. They'd placed me inside a walk-in freezer and locked the door. Apparently, this was the punishment for today. I was at least happy that Freya wasn't inside here with me.
If Jerald hadn't asked for her to not be given any punishment, there was a good chance that she would have been in here with me right now.
As I let out a deep sigh, a visible cloud of cold air billowed from my mouth, lingering in the frigid air. Wrapping my arms around myself, I held tightly, attempting to conserve the fading warmth within me.
