"What are her results?" I ask the doctor as he hands me the files.
"She is not pregnant, " he says. I can see the fear in his eyes as he waits for my outburst.
However, I was expecting this. Lucas was not performing his duties as my daughter's husband. He was messing around and not getting the job done.
My threats so far were not working, which meant that I was not doing a damn good job at scaring them enough.
From what I could see, my daughter was quite smitten with the man. She liked him, which was good. I didn't have an issue with her liking him since they were not mates.
However, I would not just sit around and wait for Lucas to suddenly become a man and do what was needed of him. It was time that I acted and acted strongly.
