I walked hastily out of the throne room, my mind wild with emotions that I tried to rein in. Alek Volkov is right behind me, his steps sure and steady following quietly. It was annoying how I was angry and going crazy yet he was anything but. I expected more from him— expected something… anything. Instead, he’s calm and collected without a care in the world. It’s as if his mind wasn’t even in the present. It was suspicious of him or I really am just losing my mind.  I’m mildly surprised when I find myself in front of Alek’s bedroom door.  He finally stands next to me and opens the door, letting me in.
