Chapter 5: Varianlir's POV

2261 Words
“You know you must marry whoever I choose,” my father, Astion Drogomor, grunted. I had told him already that I wouldn’t accept the marriage, but he kept trying again and again. “And I told you that I won’t accept anything,” I replied as one of the she-dragons came to sit on my lap. How long was it since I f****d someone? A month? “Stop, I don’t want to,” Draco, my dragon, said. “What is wrong with you? You always loved to f**k,” I countered as I started trailing the blonde’s body. I had no idea what her name was, but she looked like a great entertainment for today. “This is not up to discussion, Varian; you must be wed however I choose.” In his f*****g dreams. “No, Father, I don’t, and I don’t want to,” I glare at my dad. He can’t tell me what the f**k to do. He might be King, but I am stronger than him; if I haven’t taken the throne, it is because I— “My Prince, what do you want me to do?” The blonde said seductively as her eyes trailed my body. “Keep my mind off this old man,” I said loud and clear so my father would hear. My father scoffed while the blonde did just as I had instructed. She started playing with my chest as her lips began kissing my neck. “Too late; she has already signed the treaty, and I was told she has already arrived at the other castle,” why would father put her there? And why do I care? “The maids are preparing her to meet you, so you must get ready.” I huffed, knowing my father would not back down. “Then she should get comfortable because I am not meeting her,” I looked at the blonde before me. She giggled when my eyes connected with hers. “In fact, I’m going to take her to my room,” I said to my father. “And you are sucking my cock.” “No, she is not.” “Yeah, she is.” “Gladly, Your Majesty,” she purred, making my d**k twitch. “No, she is not,” my father echoed Draco’s thoughts. I kissed the blonde’s lips, totally ignoring my father. He knew he couldn’t make me marry her. It was a futile attempt of his to try and change my mind. The blonde opened her mouth, and I started playing with her tongue, making her moan. It might seem strange for me to be doing that, but dragons are very s****l. Once you are of age, you get this intense s****l desire that is supposed to be fulfilled by your mate, but since I don’t have one… And dragons are usually mated to several women. My father has ten mates, which is why our realm has a King but never a Queen. One woman wouldn’t be enough for us. “No, she is not,” my father repeated, his voice sharp and final, cutting through the tension in the room like a blade. His purple eyes, so much like mine but colder and harder, bore into me with a mix of frustration and authority. I leaned back in my chair, the blonde still perched on my lap, her fingers trailing lazily over my chest. I could feel her heartbeat quicken, her excitement palpable, but my own focus was elsewhere. My father’s words echoed in my mind, and for a moment, I considered pushing back harder. But I knew better. “You’re wasting your time, Father,” I said, my voice calm but laced with defiance. “I’ve told you before—I won’t be forced into a marriage I don’t want. Not now, not ever.” My father’s jaw tightened, his hands gripping the arms of his throne so tightly I could see the veins bulging. “This isn’t about what you want, Varianlir,” he snapped. “This is about the future of our kingdom. This alliance with the Lycans is crucial, and it is your duty to do as I say.” That got me thinking. Although my father had repeatedly said this alliance was crucial, I knew he didn’t want more power. He was already King of the realm, meaning he was after something else. I wondered what that was. I scoffed, my fingers tightening around the blonde’s waist as she shifted slightly, her lips brushing against my neck. “Duty,” I repeated, the word bitter on my tongue. “Is that what you call it? Forcing me to marry some stranger just to secure your precious treaty?” “It’s not just my treaty,” my father shot back, his voice rising. “You must create an heir. Or have you forgotten what it means to be a prince?” “I can give you an heir,” I said nonchalantly. The blonde giggled as she continued kissing me. Perhaps she thought that I would have an heir with her, but that would never happen. “No, you must have an heir with the woman I have chosen.” “Why?” I asked with an arched eyebrow. “An heir is an heir if that is what you want.” My father pinched the bridge of his nose as he exhaled, letting smoke come out of his nostrils. He was losing his patience. “I need her heir; that is all you should know.” I glared at him, my dragon stirring within me, its frustration mirroring my own. Our father was using us, that was for sure. “No, father, this is how this works.” I said through gritted teeth. “I won’t be shackled to someone I don’t even know. Not for you, not for anyone. I don’t give a f**k if you have a master plan, I won’t budge.” The blonde giggled softly, her fingers tracing the line of my jaw. “Your Majesty,” she purred, her voice dripping with false sweetness, “perhaps the prince just needs a little… persuasion.” I smirked, my eyes flicking to hers. “Oh, I’m sure you could persuade me,” I said, my tone teasing. “Enough!” my father roared, slamming his fist against the arm of his throne. The sound echoed through the room, and the blonde flinched, her hands stilling against my chest. I sighed but didn’t let her go. “Father, I will say this once,” I noticed she was getting… uncomfortable, so I grabbed her neck and kissed her. “I won’t marry her, end of story, and if you insist, I will challenge you for your position.” That was it; my father knew better. He could never change my mind. I was about to deepen the kiss so my father would get the hint and leave the room, but then I felt a new presence in the room. Where did she come from? And why does she smell so… divine. I was getting hard from just her scent, the blonde thought it was from her so she deepen the kiss. I parted my lips as my purple eyes connected with a pair of turquoise ones. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. As I stared at her, the air left my lungs. She had curly, long, black hair that framed her face, making her unique eyes pop even more. Her skin was olive-toned and had a glow, meaning she probably loved to tan. She had pouty, juicy, pink lips that I wanted to taste, and so I imagined I was already kissing her. “Mate!” Draco exclaimed as she urged me to pull the blonde away from me. “What is the meaning of this?!” My father yelled, thankfully not noticing the attraction I felt for her. I was in a trance. I couldn’t stop looking at her, I wanted to push this woman away from me as I saw hurt on my mates eyes, but… I couldn’t let my father know. He had a plan, one I wanted to figure out, and until then, I had to keep her safe. I was surprised when she snapped at the guards. She is petite; I would have never imagined that someone so tiny would have such a temper. “Get your f*****g hands OFF ME!” She growled and used magic to push the guards away. “Stop, you are hurting our mate!” Draco was trying to take control of me, but I couldn’t let him. I was keeping her safe, even if she didn’t understand it yet. “GUARDS! TAKE HER—“ “Would you shut up?” She rolled her eyes at my father. That was such a turn-on. My mate is feisty. I can tell that asking her to forgive me is going to be hard, especially because I haven’t stopped kissing the blonde. “Okay, first thing, lower your tone or I’m freezing your ass,” I wish I could laugh right now, she was such a firecracker. Of course, my father was not happy with her, and I had to stop their bickering before it became worse. “You are trespassing, this could call out for a war,” I said in a low and husky voice. Her eyes widened for a second, but then she glared at me once again. “A war? I came here supposedly as a peace treaty, but I can teleport myself back home, no prob.” Is she... Oh, no, she is. “You are the Lycan princess,” I said. I had never seen her before, and she didn't smell like a dragon. She smelled so sweet but fiery, like lava cake. Her eyes hardened again, making my d**k twitch. “Yes, and according to our peace agreement, I suspect you are the fiancé,” The fact that she didn't call me her mate hurt, but I knew I deserved it. I was behaving like an asshole. “This creature is your bride?” My father said with disgust, and it took every fiber of my being not to snap at him. Again, he couldn't know she was my mate. “You were the one who asked for the peace treaty, not my family, so if you disrespect me one more time, I am declaring war and returning home.” No, I couldn't let that happen. I would do anything to keep her here. “Is that a threat?” I asked, making her turn her eyes at me. I don't know how I am going to keep my feelings at bay, but I must. “I don’t do threats; I do promises,” that tone she used... she was acting all sweet. It was making me want to take her into my room and mark her. f**k, I wasn't sure I could wait until I got her into the room. All I knew was I wanted to stay alone with her, not with all these prying eyes. Then my father had to make a stupid comment about her being fat; of course, my mate gave my father a piece of her mind. Nevertheless, the conversation was turning... unfriendly. And I wanted to have her all for myself, even if she ended up hitting me for how I acted. “You speak boldly for someone who stands alone in a foreign kingdom,” I said in the same tone I did before. I noticed how her eyes changed. She loved it. “Alone? Oh, sweetheart, I’m never alone. My family’s reach extends far beyond what you can imagine. And if you think for one second that I’m defenseless, you’re even more foolish than you look,” she smirked. Oh, my. She was perfect. But, at that moment, the blonde had to speak, pissing my mate off. “Enough,” I couldn't hear one more insult toward her. I finally pulled the woman's hands away. “Leave us.” “But, my prince—” “I said leave,” I hated repeating myself, and my tone was clear for everyone. “I can handle it from here, father,” “Son, you know I can always—" For f***s sake. “I know,” he cut his father off. “I can handle it, father.” The door finally closed, and I was finally alone with my mate. “You’re not what I expected,” I never expected my mate not to be a dragon, but it made sense now that I thought about it. “And you’re exactly what I expected,” and she is angry. She gave me a piece of her mind, and I realized I had hurt her too much. I wished I could tell her the truth; I wish I could ask her to help me, but... I could see the hatred in her eyes, not because of what happened but because of what we did to her family. Arlen Hills, I will do everything to win her back, but I had to keep her away for now. "Tristan, come to my office," If I was going to do this, I needed help. I had to dethrone my father and do it fast before Arlen decided to do the same as I did to her because if someone touched what was mine... I knew I was going to lose it.
