I felt a strange presence once we got out of the pit. I couldn't believe it when I felt Varianlir's hands grab me. I thought I was done for, but here he came. My prince, and he saved me.
"Do not do that again!" He roared through the bond, making Keila whimper.
"I won't, I just..." I trailed off; any excuse seemed pathetic right now.
He sighed.
"I know, baby. I was so scared to lose you. Please don't do it again. We are in this together," His voice was so soft this time... I knew I had scared him, and he didn't even know about the baby.
