When Earl came home in their apartment that night, he saw Ivan drinking beer in the roof deck with Jackie. He was surprised because he never drinks in the roof deck. And Jackie was really different at the moment; he was playing and looking really silly.
So Earl grabbed a beer from then fridge and joined Ivan in the roof deck. He sat on the chair beside Ivan.
“Jackie seems playful tonight.”Earl said, taking a sip of the cold beer.
“Yeah... because he’s just a dog now.”Ivan said.
Earl looked at his friend with a confused expression.
“Isn’t he a dog? Was he a kangaroo before?”He asked, and Ivan rolled his eyes.
“Jackie has my father’s soul, but now it’s gone.”Ivan said, and Earl spit out the beer he was drinking.
“What?! As in your dad was reincarnated as a dog?!”Earl exclaimed.
