“You should try to get some sleep. I’m sure Cooper wouldn’t appreciate you being tired tomorrow, and you’ve been adamant about getting a good grade on this,” he tells me, breaking the peaceful silence and pulling me from my thoughts. “We’re going to fail anyway. We never did the paper,” I answer, no longer caring. He reaches into his duffel bag and pulls the folded assignment out. He opens it and grabs a pen, starting to fill in answers as I look at him in surprise. I look at the paper and am able to see the questions for the first time since he got the damn thing.
