Connor Flashback
“Connor, you coming, man?” Bones shouts over to me from about ten feet away once he must have realized I wasn’t with them.
I snap out of whatever spell I’m under and jump up to my feet with a nod, thankful neither of them noticed what captured my attention once again. I walk to the parking lot, fighting not to glance over my shoulder one last time the whole way there.
When night falls, I pull on my black baseball cap and lower it, hooding my face. I meet up with Rex and Bones at the skating park and let them lead the way to an abandoned, decrepit building downtown. We walk around back and find a big, burly man standing by the door. He takes one look at us and pushes the door open for us to walk through.
