I wake up to the sound of my bedroom door being pushed open and hitting the wall. I rub my eyes and see Ashford squinting.   “What the f**k?” he grumbles then sits up, and I see when his eyes land on the source and harden.   I sit up and glare at Riley, my head throbbing like hell. He looks back and forth between Ashford and me, questions and hurt displayed in his eyes.   “Do you have to wake me up at the c***k of dawn every morning?” I groan.   “It’s not early and I wasn’t expecting you to have company.” I look over at Ashford and see him standing, pulling his diner shirt on. Riley walks over and joins me on the bed, handing me a cup of coffee as he whispers, “I could have stayed.”  “I wasn’t planning for him to stay. Thanks for the coffee.
