Cherry’s POV
It had been almost a week since I returned home—or rather, my new home—the Clerk mansion. I was sleeping soundly when my phone chimed with a notification sound. I was too drowsy to open my eyes and check it, so I roamed my hand around my bed with my eyes closed, to search for my phone. It was under a support pillow which I placed in between my legs. I peeked one eye open and saw the name of the sender—Zane. Within a snap of a finger, I opened my eyes and read the message.
‘Hey angel, good morning! Sleeping soundly?” I read out his message that ended with a kissing emoticon.
“I was, but not anymore,” I replied, reading out my message as I typed.
