CHAPTER 28 – His jealousy Cherry’s POV The wall clock ticked away. It was the only sound that disturbed our silence. Tick-tock, tick-tock, the clock kept ticking for our destiny. It was a very crucial moment for both me and Zane. His silvery grey eyes met my blue eyes while I held the gun to Edie’s head and Zane pointed his gun to my forehead with his shaky hands. “I didn’t do it, Cherry!” Edie broke the silence. I smiled at him sarcastically. “Every criminal says that, Edie. Come on, we know that very well,” I said. “I didn’t point the gun to kill you, Cherry! I was pointing it to shoot a thug who was coming behind you!” he blurted out all of a sudden. I saw it in my dream. I saw that a thug was coming from behind me. Is he talking about that dream? “What do you mean by that?”
