“f**k we’re losing her again!” The doctor who I now knew as Alexandra Mancini yelled.
Monica sat like a weeping statue on the seat next to mine. This was the third time Aliyah’s heart had stopped; Dr. Mancini had managed to bring her back by some miracle from the moon. Monica was a mess. The pilot was trying his best to get us home as fast as he could. Dr. Mancini and her nurse were exhausted. I still hadn’t called Max to let him know what happened, at this point it was pointless. We were still in the air where no one could do anything. I kissed Monica’s cheek and walked over to the room.
