Alya POV
I sat up immediately as soon as I woke up.
“Where’s Leo?”
Those were the first words that came out of my mouth. I didn’t even think there would be someone to answer me.
“Sweetheart! What are you feeling?”
I saw Mom come toward me from my desk, where I saw her laptop turned on. She must have been working there for some time already.
After taking a deep breath, I replied to Mom. “I’m okay. I feel much better. How long was I out?”
She held her palm out and touched my forehead, then she cupped my cheek.
“You got us all worried, Alya. Are you feeling dizzy? Do you still have muscle pain?” Mom continued on asking me questions. She never answered mine.
“Mom, I’m okay. I feel a lot better. You don’t have to worry anymore.” I was about to stand up to go to the bathroom.
