Monday had always been a drag for me, but I did not feel like it the following day. I went through breakfast and meetings in high spirits.
I was looking forward to Friday and to my date with Leo, or catching up with him. After I had my secretary move my appointments from Friday afternoon to another day, I told her she can have Friday afternoon off, too.
“And could you check if everyone is free on Saturday night?” I gave out instructions to Emily to book a table at one of the fanciest restaurants in the city for the royal family as my thank-you gift to them for helping me out last weekend. I knew I owe Dad and John a quiet weekend, so I also had Emily check their available weekend. Perhaps we could spend some time in the mountain house.
