I realized the pros and cons of online school today and decided I needed to be committed to what I was getting into from today. It was hard not to get distracted and it felt like a dream, not to constantly get picked by the teacher when you were lost in thoughts.
I closed the laptop and promised myself I would get some of my homework done, later. I loved how I could still keep up with studies not withstanding my stay here.
I unplugged my phone from the socket it was charging and dialed Nikita. I placed the phone between my ear and shoulders while I poured a glass of orange juice for myself. She received my call on the first beep. "Kita, girl, how are you and how have you been?" I asked, holding my phone against my ear.
"Gigi, I'm doing great. Sorry if I sounded off yesterday, I wasn't-"
