“You all set?” Gavin nudged one of the cocktails across the table. “Got you something light.” Grace looked like she’d just come out of a warzone. She dropped into the seat, picked up the blue cocktail, took a sip, and sighed, “Thanks.” Keeping her cool in that run-in with Dana had taken all she had. If Dana hadn’t backed off, Grace had no idea what she would’ve done to keep the plan from blowing up. Thankfully, luck had been on her side tonight. Her phone buzzed in her bag. She glanced at Gavin. “I’m allowed to check my phone now, right?” He nodded. “Knock yourself out.” She opened it—Clara had messaged about work.
