My throat went dry and for a second I couldn’t move. I glanced at him but I removed my eyes immediately.
He stood at the staircase like nothing had happened. Like he hadn’t been inside of me just a few hours ago.
Now… he was looking at me like I was a stranger. He didn’t even flinch or act nervous for a second.
It was as though he wasn’t surprised.
“Damien,” my mom said warmly as she stood up to meet him. “You’re finally here.”
I could see the excitement on her face and I knew that it would disappear instantly if she had the slightest idea of what had happened between us.
Both of us remained silent.
