Leo sucked the little pearl of blood from her thumb, grimacing. "I never, ever get splinters, but as soon as I try to sew, this happens! Seriously..." "Do you need a band-aid?" Alden asked. "We have Paw Patrol ones!" "I'd love a Paw Patrol band-aid hun, but I think I'm good," Leo said, checking her thumb. "I just don't think I'll be able not to prick all ten of my fingers before we finish this..." "Mommy is better at sewing," Alden noted. "I know, right? Let's not leave amateurs to handle this important job. We'll ask for her help when she's done with her call. How about we do another part meanwhile, one that doesn't involve sewing? Oh, I got an old floatie; I thought we'd make your horn with it!" She grabbed the old pool noodle out of her bag, showing it to Alden, who frowned.
