Ashlyn’s POV Just as Xavier left, I flipped to the other side. I stared at the closed door. Then, as I heard the car engine coming to life, I rushed to the window. As it disappeared down the driveway, a wave of regret washed over me. I should have gone to see him off. How could I let this moment slip away? Who knows when—or if—we will meet again?
