Benny’s POV
The last forkfuls of our breakfast disappear just as the buzzer on my door sounds out, making the four siblings sitting around me jump fearfully.
‘It’s OK, it’s the doorbell’ I tell them, ‘They have to call from outside to be let into the building.’
Rali and the three kids nod, but I can tell that they are still apprehensive as they watch me wipe my mouth with a napkin and push back my chair, standing up and striding toward the hallway where my intercom system is.
I press the button beside the small screen, connecting to the camera downstairs as Eden’s face appears.
