I sat on the couch in the abandoned house where we’d set up. One of Ben’s warriors was staying with us to give us reports from the guard patrol. Keaton stayed in the house with me, and the leaders of the hunter packs were set up in strategic places.
Kyle was actually in one of the upstairs bedrooms, he would be watching for movement on the perimeter of the house, Brian was out in hiking gear, wandering around. He would be playing the part of inside man.
Ben had come earlier and retrieved his phone while leaving me a phone so I could talk to Oliver and reach the pack house. I was grateful and had immediately texted Oliver so he would have my number.
