I don't even realize I'm holding my breath as I watch Ember bite down into Chase's throat and rip it from his body. I breathe again until I watch Scarlett fall to the ground next to him. She shifts and when I reach her I scoop her up in my arms, heading for the pack hospital. I know that Emma, Xander, and the Elders are probably on my heels but I can't even stop to check right now. I rush inside and the doctor I linked is waiting for us with a gurney. I can see the wound on her shoulder is still bleeding where Chase's wolf bit down before she ended him. The doctor tells me to stay here and I growl. "Don't growl at me Alpha you know that I am trying to help Alpha Scarlett and I can't do that with you there." I kiss her forehead and step back.
