Michael Reese.  His determination matched my resolution. Hayden stood tall, seemingly made up his mind, again choosing to side with Uktena. I’d say I was hurt, but that would be a lie. I knew this would be the outcome of my fight with Uktena. I expected Hayden to stand up for his friend. The prophecy wasn’t wrong about us fighting but surely mistaken to think I’d let him kill me. I didn’t need my horned serpent’s powers to secure a victory tonight. Hayden was nothing but a werewolf, and it didn’t seem he unlocked his true powers. I’d only have to kill him before he would, and that shouldn’t be much of a problem.
